Reducing Parts Inventory

Working with the engineering team of a Global 1000 food and beverage manufacturer CONGEX reviewed over 50,000 line items and normalised each description in line with a proprietary classification schema as well as UNSPSC. In addition we extracted all the available attributes and structured a data set with clear granular data. In short, CONGEX standardised the descriptions so that duplicates were identifiable and potential substitute products could be linked.

The result has been a reduction in the number of line items by over 5% (through the identification of duplicates) and better support for ERP procurement and plant maintenance functionality than ever before. We're very sorry but we're in the middle of relaunching congex.com with a little less fluff and a bit more fact.

Outsourced Services Savings

A record of success in negotiating savings in outsourced services lead to the appointment of CONGEX to review an outsourced Share Registry service on behalf of a UK listed asset management firm.

Our approach as usual, was to "demystify" a complex arrangement of fees and transactions so the price for service could be identified and assessed against benchmarks. After reviewing the existing fees and transactions CONGEX was able to advise the Customer on their approach to renegotiating the fees with a result that the Customer described as highly successful with a "substantial" reduction in fees for the existing services.

With business under constant pressure to improve the management of outsourced services, those value delivered by those service arrangements needs to be measured and evaluated. CONGEX is now working with organisations in manufacturing, aviation and financial services to improve the value delivered by outsourcing.

CONGEX Shares Experience @ SAP User Conference

The Australian SAP User Group (SAUG) conference invited CONGEX to jointly present with Nestle Australia on their successful collaboration on their complex data migration project supporting the Nestle Globe SAP implementation.

At a well attended conference breakout session, delegates heard how CONGEX applied the rigerous data quality rules devised by Nestle to support the new SAP system to migrate inventory data from various legacy systems across the region to Nestle SAP master data repository.
